Happy Friday!!
I am really excited about my newest eBay auction, though it is a piece I made back in March of this year..."Sands of Atlantis" is an ORIGINAL and LARGE (24" x 18" x 1" gallery wrapped) mixed media fiber art painting of a vintage-y mermaid, hanging out on the fine sandy ocean floor just outside Atlantis...

Sometimes I get ahead of myself...
Like today, I decided to start like 80 projects and am all over the place! Why do I do this to myself?!? I think sometimes my mind just likes to play tricks on me.
Now that I am sitting here writing my blog, it has become painfully obvious that I have not finished much today. But at least I wont have to fumble around the next few mornings, trying to figure out what I want to work on...I now have my choice of many projects LOL!
Well, let me try to sort all this out for y'all...I will start with my NEW art mystery box auction- MERMAIDS! Wee! This is another box full of goodies, all mermaid related, tons of stuff in there, such as:
a hand made journal, bookmark, fabric ACEOs (2!), some prints, a pendant...and lots lots more, some of it a surprise! The box measures 6.25" x 9.5" x 2.25" and is covered with patterned paper in greens and teal...and it will be STUFFED with fun mermaid art! And I thought I would give all of you a sneak peek at my "side project/graphic novel"...Below are two photos of my desk area, and the little birdie you see, well, his name is Ralphie. He is very near and dear to my heart, and he will be one of the main characters in this project. At first, he was just a little doodle in my sketchbook, kinda sad and lonely amongst all the dragons, zombies, and scribblings of my mind...
Well, eventually he made it onto a canvas, and now, as you can see, he is being made into a stuffed animal...The blue stuffie you see is "Ralphie Prototype #1", as I want both Ralphie and I to be completely satisfied with everything relating to this project. After making some adjustments and re-drawing parts of his sewing pattern, "Ralphie Prototype #2" is now in the works. By the end of this, I am going to be up to my eyeballs in Ralphie's LOL! Good thing he is weird and cute!
So, I think that is about all for the moment. I am working on some new dragon + cartoon aquarium paintings, too, and of course the inevitable zombie piece!

Good Evening....
So I have been listing a bunch of stuff in my darkling shop...Much of it has sold already, so I regret I will not be posting it here.
However, I have JUST listed some new notecards...These are my new line of "book cards" as I tend to ramble in my correspondence and frequently run out of writing room.

Also tonight, I have listed a brand new original dark art painting in my zombietoes shop...This is a very personal piece, and also frightens me on a very deep level. I call it "Dead Wrong"...

Good evening darlings,
Well, in the midst of all this studio mess and work and chores and pets and garden I have made time to post a new blog...Freakin sweet!
anyhoo, it may be a bit short as I am in the process of getting those jesters up online. So, I'll start with the new listings and see how far I ramble after that...

So, I have been REALLY super busy lately, and would like to apologize to any of you whom I have inadvertently neglected in the past week or two. I'm Sorry :)

Jesters are getting hung in the cafe sometime this week; in fact, my friend who is the manager has asked me to list a 3 CD set of Etre Dieu (the opera envisioned by Salvador Dali) for him. It is here if anyone would like to take a peek. Ends soon, and if there are no bids, i will most likely relist it.
But, yes, finally I am hanging! So, I will also be unveiling them all online by the end of the week. I swear! And then I am going to update my dang website! I feel so behind! So many custom orders lately, which is a good good thing.
One of my redheads brought me an assload of flowers today...irises and cat mint, mums, and some other stuff I cant recall at the moment. I've got to get it all in the ground tomorrow. I'm so excited! (and for any of you who may be curious about how much an assload is, it's currently about two and a half standard wheelbarrows full).
oh my, it is late and I have got miles to go before I sleep. ;) I will be on my way then. I say good day.

I got art supplies yay!!!
Yup, I got new canvas pads, linoleum cutting blocks (for prints and raised papers...), some new grey pens (finally!) and some other random stuff...Oh! New paint! LOL. I'm like a kid in a candy store...

So, I've been carving lino blocks all afternoon, but had to stop because I ran out of ideas. Well, for the time being anyhow. After my internet duties, I am sure to end up back at my desk sketching out ideas. Soon I will have some greeting card and other stationary and embellishment options in my etsy store. I am also working on a new set of resin bookmarks, as most of the ones I had in there have sold...:)
I am feeling a serious pull away from the collage and towards more painting...But I still have a lot of pieces already made. So no worries...Plus I can always be commissioned! But for those of you who thrive on the mixed media, get while the getting's good. There. Fair warning.
So, I suppose that is about it for now. I'm gonna go back to work.
