Hi Hi!
It's snowing again :) Right, duh, Emily, it's WINTER! Hee hee hee!
Well, I've got some new dragons to share! First, though, I want to talk a little bit about something that has been slightly bothersome for me, in regards to eBay...
Whether I am late on the draw or not, it has come to my attention (via a very friendly and honest customer with wonderful communication skills) that eBay has changed the way the invoicing system is set up...
Here is the blurb I have added to the payment section for all my listings, as of last night:
"It used to be that I was able to have control over my own invoicing schedule, but eBay has changed that option, so I am no longer able to offer the ideal of waiting for other auctions to end before invoicing. Sadly, eBay will send out an invoice for any given item, all on their own- I do not have any control over this; they also send out a warning within 3 days of auction end if payment has not been made on an item. Again, I have no control over this function! :( . So, I guess it goes without saying (but I will say it anyway) that I am now forced to invoice after each auction ends. To avoid getting a rather rude warning email from eBay itself (please know that I would never dream of treating my customers with any sort of rudeness, though eBay seems to think that is just fine), payments must be made within 3 days of auction end. :( Again, I am truly sorry about this feature. "
Even though I feel a bit like an arse for not catching on to this whole fiasco sooner (I do have to find time in my day to actually make art, I cannot spend all my time online reading every wee little change that eBay makes, as they make a LOT of them, all the time), I am trying my very best to rectify any wounded customers...so, if you are a customer that has bid on any of my auctions, won, and then received a rude warning email from ebay, please accept my apologies on behalf of eBay! If you'd like to discuss this matter with me further, you may email me. As of yet, I have not decided whether or not to continue listing on eBay. It is still up in the air. :(
And now, onto happier things...:) This little ACEO print was listed for auction on eBay Friday evening (before I knew about their recent silliness)..."Protect and Prosper" is an art card print (3.5" x 2.5") of my original dragon painting...This particular painting lives in my personal, not-for-sale collection, but you can get this print of him for a starting bid of 45 (free shipping!). To read his blurb, see detail pictures, and perhaps make a bid, please follow the link below his picture:

Now...For a brand new ORIGINAL dragon painting! For those of you who are members of my Facebook Fanpage, you may have seen a work in progress picture of this little guy..."Vineyard" is an original dragon painting- a small dragon in a grape vineyard! I do suggest you visit the listing to read the blurb, if you'd like a good laugh ;)
He is listed for sale in my darklingemily etsy shop, with free shipping! Again, to view the listing for the blurb, detail pics, and perhaps to adopt him, please follow the link below the picture:

So...that's about all for the moment. I am working on a new batch of dragon bookmarks, but have run out of tassels for them, so I will have to make some of my own...Also, working on a new jester piece! And another dragon painting! Also, brainstorming some more Cartoon Aquarium babies...
xo!

Oh My Goodness...
I have been working my butt off!! Of course, from your standpoint, it doesn't look like I have been doing much, but that's because I haven't had much time for online play and such...:)
So, I will start with my new ACEOs, all listed in auction format on eBay...First, continuing with my 'holiday jester sale', I have listed some new ACEO prints, all starting at just $0.99, with my usual free shipping!
Here they are; you can click on the links below them to view their individual auctions (there you will be able to see better/more pictures, read my little blurbs about them, and make your bids!)

I also have a new ORIGINAL painting ACEO up tonight; this is another dragon :) His name is "Phantom" and he is a white dragon, with some sort of magical globe thingy...He is an ORIGINAL acrylic painting, in acrylics on a tiny (2.5" x 3.5") sheet of canvas. The starting bid for "Phantom" is my usual $5 (with free shipping). To see his listing and perhaps place your bid to give him a new home, kindly follow the link below his picture:

I have also listed one of my ORIGINAL Cartoon Aqaurium paintings at a fixed price on eBay...You may remember "George" the octopus with bad eyesight, and his improvised monocle...Well, he is an original 8" x 10" acrylic painting, and is currently listed at $55 on eBay (free shipping!) To see the listing and perhaps adopt him into your home, or as a gift for someone else, please follow the link below his silly picture:

This is not art related, but still very important to me...One of my high school friends now works for a lawfirm in Pennsylvania, and this year they are putting on a fundraiser for all animal-related projects...They need everyone's help to choose which organization will receive their donation this year, so if you would kindly take a few minutes out of your day to go read their blogpost and place a vote (all this is FREE btw, so you really have no excuse NOT to) for your favorite pet/animal nonprofit organization, she and I would both be very very happy...Not to mention all the animals! The more votes that are placed, the more funds will be donated, so...Go help some animals with 5 minutes of your time! You don't even have to leave your computer! Pretty cool, huh?

I have been hard at work on my "Little Book of Zombie Limericks- Volume 3"...I've got the bulk of the new limericks written out, and now just need to find a little time to write a few more and get them illustrated, formatted to print, printed, then photographed and listed hee hee...Because it has been so long since my last volume was written, I had almost forgotten what an insane place my imagination can be...I am kind of sick and twisted LOL!! But...At least I can make myself laugh!
So, those will hopefully be ready to list by next week. If you are interested in checking out the other two "Zombie Limericks" books, the are at the links below:
"Little Book of Zombie Limericks" volume 1
"Little Book of Zombie Limericks" volume 2
Tomorrow's plan is to get my website updates started (maybe finished, too, fingers crossed!), do some edits on my latest newsletter, and work on some new designs for new items in my poor, neglected Zazzle shop...It has been FAR too long now, really needs new fun stuff!! Of course, there is a lot of fun stuff already there (t shirts, posters, post cards, mugs, shoes, etc) so if you feel curious, go take a peek: Em's Zazzle Shop
Now, off to work what is left of my butt off, and make some cookies, I really want some COOKIES!! I think I have worked hard enough to justify deserving them LOL!!
OH!! Don't forget about all the original paintings on sale in my darklingemily etsy shop ;) ;)

Sunday, Sunday...:)
Let me see here...what do I have to write about...Oh, yes! I have put up an ORIGINAL dragon painting on eBay (I listed him yesterday)..."Nite Lite" has been living in my darklingemily etsy shop, but I have moved him over to an eBay auction...Which is bonus for y'all, because he is a little less than half the price he was before! Of course, this is an auction format listing, and he starts at just $15.00, free shipping, so it could potentially go higher...But still, you could get a really good deal on this ORIGinal painting!
(blah blah blah!!) Anyway, "Nite Lite" is a great big green dragon, curled around an entire kingdom castle, because he is a tired dragon and wants to fall asleep (he even has heavy eyelids!) but he is a wee bit afraid of the dark! This piece is somewhat small, at 7" x 5" (acrylic on a canvas panel)...To see the auction listing, and perhaps even make a bid, please follow the link below the picture:

I also have a handful of ACEO (art cards) listed for auction- all my ACEO auctions start at just $5.00 with free shipping- to see all the current listings on eBay, please click here!
Since my last post, I have managed to get my newest "sexy jester" pin up completed. "Pumpkin Pie" is a mixed media illustration, featuring one of my jesters sitting atop a great big piece of delicious pumpkin pie, and behind her is a really big pumpkin! I am not offering the original for sale (yet, perhaps eventually I will), and sadly she is not posted in my website art gallery yet, but if you would like a print or poster of her, please feel free to email me with your preference of poster (11" x 14" for $19.95) or limited edition print (8" x 10" hand embellished, numbered, + signed) and I would be more than happy to get one to you!
Anyway, here is a picture of her, all finished up:

* If you do order a print from me, the watermark will not be on there! It is for "publishing" purposed only ;)
If you would like to see all the other sexy jesters, they are living here in my "Sexy Art" sub gallery ;)
And...Some rather poopy news...I know a while back I mentioned something about having a tutorial I wrote (how to make your own journals) getting published in Faerie Magazine. Well, it was supposed to be published in the Summer 2009 issue (which was late getting to the presses, and did not in fact come out until September)...I am sad to announce that I am NOT in there.
I had a whole shpeel written out that was a bit of a "wag of the finger", but thought that maybe I should just be polite and professional and not even bother with crabbing about it. I will say this one thing, as a smart cookie, a reader, consumer, and lover of fantasy and all other art and literature...Faerie Magazine could be a better publication than it is, and quite frankly I am glad that they left me out of their magazine, seeing as I dont find them to be very on point.
Rest assured, the first shpeel was much less nice about all this, but even still, very tame compared to what I would really like to say...However, in the words of Forrest Gump, "That's all I have to say about that." ;)

I dont know what is wrong with me today, it is still very early in the evening and I am REALLY tired...Looks like it will be bedtime soon!
I have a brand new tiny dragon painting to show off tonight...It is an ACEO (art card, measures 3.5" x 2.5"), and an ORIGINAL at that!
"Bearded" is a wee little green dragon guy, with an apparent amount of wisdom; at least it looks as such by the way he is sitting, with his dragon beard!
He is an original acrylic painting on canvas, and again, this is an ACEO, so it is very small at 3.5" x 2.5". "Bearded" is up for auction on eBay, starting at just $5.00 and my usual free shipping! To see him and perhaps even make a bid, please follow the link below his picture:

I also have listed some ACEO prints of two of my all time favorite paintings, "Raven 1" and "Raven 2"...They each start at just $5, to see them, please follow the link below their pictures:

I have finally gotten around to doing a big inventory check on my darklingemily etsy shop, and over the next few weeks I will be re-introducing a lot of journals, scrapbook sets, note cards, and other hand made paper goodies, in addition to my ever growing "Fantasy Art" section!
Now I have to inventory my littlezombietoes etsy shop, and add some more zombie stuff! I am afraid the Cartoon Aquarium series has overtaken my monsters LOL! But, that will have to wait until tomorrow, as I am dead tired :P
Oh! If any of you would like to see the commission I am currently working on, visit my Facebook WIP album here!
