OOh, it's Monday!

Ii know I promised some new art over the weekend, and for those of you who are my friends on Facebook, you saw the newest jester piece, "Cupcakery"...For the rest of you, here is a picture:

She is not up for sale, but I will be offering prints of her through my website later this week, along with a bunch of other new prints...First, I need to update the galleries with new pictures, though!

In other "update" news, there are a bunch of new cross stitch patterns up at Misty Dreamz of many of my dragon paintings, and some other art of mine as well! Woo Hoo!

Now, onto the new auctions...:) I was up REALLY late the other night, and did an "after midnight" ACEO auction listing, hee hee...This late night auction listing is for an ACEO (art card, measures 2.5" x 3.5") print of my original big eye dragon "Sunkissed"...Starting at just $5.00, plus my regular free shipping...To see the listing for "Sunkissed" and maybe even make a bid, please click on the link below the picture:

I also have just listed another ACEO dragon print tonight...this one is from my original painting "Vigil", a regal dragon perched waaay up by the crescent moon...This auction also starts at just $5.00, with free shipping! To see "Vigil" and perhaps make a bid, follow the link below her picture:

I have been super slacking on my poor Zazzle Shop, but once I finish "fixing" my website, I should have more time to design new merchandise! Sometimes, I wish there were two of me...But for now, I am going to work on some new dragon paintings, and watch some wrestling!

xo!

Hidely-ho!

So, I have listed my original painting "Dragon Dreams" up for auction on eBay, and this is a very special auction, because 1/2 of the final sale price will be donated to a little boy
who is in need of a surgery...His name is Reid Hite, and here is an excerpt from the family blog post:

"Reid is now 4 and a half months old. Since birth he has only had one testicle and the doctor waited till 4 months to see if his other one would drop on its own. When it did not drop we started with the trips to specialist. Reid is on Peachstate insurance which very few doctors or specialist take. We went to the only ones in GA that take it, which were all over 2 hours away. Each one told us he needs surgery by 6 months of age to correct the issue but that they did not feel comfortable doing it. His left testicle is in his stomach in between 3 muscles. It is too far up to bring down and will need to be auto transplanted. This has to be done by the time he is 6 months old or it will rip through his stomach muscles causing severe damage."

You can read the whole blog post at this link:http://reidhite.chipin.com/reid-hites-surgery and there is an option to donate there, if you feel so inclined to be an angel...

So...again, my original painting "Dragon Dreams"- 14" x 11" x 1" acrylic painting on stretched canvas- is up on eBay for auction, starting at a $60.00 starting bid, and 50% of the final sale price will be donated to the Hite family for their son Reid's surgery.
The reason I chose this piece of art to auction off is that it is one of my more "child friendly" dragon paintings, and I am a firm believer that dragons are protectors of the unknown secrets and magic that is still here in this world, even if we as humans cannot acknowledge the presence of such, and that helping others is an important part of being an artist and a decent human being. Unfortunately, at this point, the only way I can help these folks out is to put up this auction, and hope like hell it gets at least one bid ;).

I will have some new art to share sometime this weekend...I know, promises, promises...:D I have started a *new* jester piece, with cupcakes!! Wow, going from helping a little boy out to sexy jesters and naughty desserts...I must be completely out of my mind. But I am okay with that. Life would be awfully dull if I were normal...

Greetings!

Well, I finally got around to another zombie painting (YAY!)...This one is just a little ACEO (3.5" x 2.5", or playing card size)...It is a mixed media painting, as I have used a partial image transfer technique, plus some paper, colored pencil, ink, and acrylic paint...all on a tiny piece of canvas!
This image was originally drawn in pen and ink for my "Little Book of Zombie Limericks" volume 1 (I am also including a copy of this self written, hand bound book with the auction)...I call it "Zombie Mob 1"...there are certainly more on the horizon! This auction is up for 7 days, and starts at just $9.00 (for the book and the original ACEO) with my free shipping! To see details and make your bid, please follow the link below the picture:

Now...another dragon painting! A sort of Halloween inspired painting, I call this one "Spelunker"- a patient white and orange spotted dragon who lives in a cave with a bunch of "batty" roommates...This is a small piece, measuring 6" x 8" on a canvas panel. He is listed in my darklingemily etsy shop...To see detail pictures (I do recommend) and perhaps even give him a new home, please click the link below his picture:

I went for an afternoon walk around the pond today, and this time I rought my camera along...something I rarely do, as I need my camera for "work" and I just know Murphy's Law lurks around every shasow of my life...I am in constant fear of dropping it...But I took the chance and brought it along, and am very happy I did...because mr. Blue Heron was waiting for me to take pictures of him! I also got a few decent shots of the autumn foliage, for those of you who do not have the pleasure of living in a "season" area ;)...So, here are some photos of my "back yard":

This is the "good shot" of the blue heron, though I did have to use my digital zoom, so it is not as clear as I would like...

Some fall foliage

some more foliage...

OOH! I also put up some new dragon shirts in my Zazzle shop! Here are the newest designs:

"Sneeky Dragon" t shirt

"Orange Dragon" t shirt

Click here to see all my dragon merchandise!

Now, time for some dinner, then I have to get ready to go see "Zombieland"!!! Yay!

Hi Hi!

Well, I am in the midst of some website maintenance, so my brain is totally fried. :( I cant think in anything but code,
so Ihave not been doing any art today :( :(! But I do have a brand new painting to show off anyway, I painted it a few days ago and
now it's listed in my darklingemily shop! "Nite Lite" is an original dragon painting, measuring 7" x 5" in acrylics (on canvas board).
I really like this one, it's sweet. I like to think about the sweet side of dragons, as they are seen so often as ferocious or beastly, scary, destructive, and just plain mean.
I feel like I can relate to that, and I feel it is also my duty to portray the gentle, protective, and classically magical face of dragons. So, yes, back to "Nite Lite": It is
a small piece, but it's full of personality! To view detail pictures and perhaps even add it to your collection, please click on the link below the pic:

I went to the store today and got more panels for painting on, so...be on the lookout for more paintings!

I know I am pretty boring tonight, and I must apologize for that...I feel I should be more entertaining if I am going to bother posting a blog, but I just have no thinking juice left.
So, with that said, I am off to watch 12 Rounds. Yay for John Cena. I dont care it the movie is bad, it's still Cena.

xo
