Hi Hi!
It's snowing again :) Right, duh, Emily, it's WINTER! Hee hee hee!
Well, I've got some new dragons to share! First, though, I want to talk a little bit about something that has been slightly bothersome for me, in regards to eBay...
Whether I am late on the draw or not, it has come to my attention (via a very friendly and honest customer with wonderful communication skills) that eBay has changed the way the invoicing system is set up...
Here is the blurb I have added to the payment section for all my listings, as of last night:
"It used to be that I was able to have control over my own invoicing schedule, but eBay has changed that option, so I am no longer able to offer the ideal of waiting for other auctions to end before invoicing. Sadly, eBay will send out an invoice for any given item, all on their own- I do not have any control over this; they also send out a warning within 3 days of auction end if payment has not been made on an item. Again, I have no control over this function! :( . So, I guess it goes without saying (but I will say it anyway) that I am now forced to invoice after each auction ends. To avoid getting a rather rude warning email from eBay itself (please know that I would never dream of treating my customers with any sort of rudeness, though eBay seems to think that is just fine), payments must be made within 3 days of auction end. :( Again, I am truly sorry about this feature. "
Even though I feel a bit like an arse for not catching on to this whole fiasco sooner (I do have to find time in my day to actually make art, I cannot spend all my time online reading every wee little change that eBay makes, as they make a LOT of them, all the time), I am trying my very best to rectify any wounded customers...so, if you are a customer that has bid on any of my auctions, won, and then received a rude warning email from ebay, please accept my apologies on behalf of eBay! If you'd like to discuss this matter with me further, you may email me. As of yet, I have not decided whether or not to continue listing on eBay. It is still up in the air. :(

This is not art related, but still very important to me...One of my high school friends now works for a lawfirm in Pennsylvania, and this year they are putting on a fundraiser for all animal-related projects...They need everyone's help to choose which organization will receive their donation this year, so if you would kindly take a few minutes out of your day to go read their blogpost and place a vote (all this is FREE btw, so you really have no excuse NOT to) for your favorite pet/animal nonprofit organization, she and I would both be very very happy...Not to mention all the animals! I have been hard at work on my "Little Book of Zombie Limericks- Volume 3"...I've got the bulk of the new limericks written out, and now just need to find a little time to write a few more and get them illustrated, formatted to print, printed, then photographed and listed hee hee...Because it has been so long since my last volume was written, I had almost forgotten what an insane place my imagination can be...I am kind of sick and twisted LOL!! But...At least I can make myself laugh!

Good evening all!
Okay, tonight I have some very special auctions to share! I am auctioning off ACEO prints of ALL of my sexy jesters this week, and each jester auction will start at just $0.99, with my usual free shipping!
The two I currently have listed are as follows:

Now, what else do I have up my sleeve...Oh, yes...remember the other day when I was showing off my little posable bunny dolls? Well, I have another set of dolls available, but these are...not as friendly LOL! They are my "L'il Reaper" felt dolls, and they come in sets of two with a reversible pouch...Instead of the wooden beads for heads, they have little skull beads! Creepy and kinda cute, too, I guess...It's all relative anyhow!

(Don't worry, he is not ACTUALLY radioactive!) This dragon painting is small at 5" x 7", but is full of character! He is currently listed in my darklingemily etsy shop. So, I am a bum, and spent all day in my pajamas...:D Of course, I had nowhere to be, no errands to run or people coming over, so I just rolled right out of bed and got right to work!
I have some good news for all of you- I have put a selection of my original paintings (and a few illustrations) on SALE in my darklingemily etsy shop.
Most of the sale pieces are on the small side- 5" x 7"- were $32, now are $20- but some are larger...ALL of them are ORIGINALS, though, and free shipping as usual! Happy Friday the 13th!
I went for a really good walk today; it is still pretty warm here for November, so I am soaking in as much of it as I can...I am sure it will be snowing before I know it...::Sigh::
Well, tonight I only have a few things to share...The first being a brand new eBay auction! Yay! This new auction is for an ACEO print (ACEOs are collectible art cards that measure 2.5" x 3.5") of my original dragon painting "Night Fryer"...
I know it is not the nicest dragon, nor cute, but a dragon nonetheless...maybe he is cranky because he has heartburn? All four of my galleries have new pictures in them, and most of the site is set up the way I want it to be...There are still af ew things to iron out here and there, mainly in my web shop, but I have to save that for another day...probably tomorrow hee hee...

Hidely-ho!
So, I have listed my original painting "Dragon Dreams" up for auction on eBay, and this is a very special auction, because 1/2 of the final sale price will be donated to a little boy
who is in need of a surgery...His name is Reid Hite, and here is an excerpt from the family blog post:
"Reid is now 4 and a half months old. Since birth he has only had one testicle and the doctor waited till 4 months to see if his other one would drop on its own. When it did not drop we started with the trips to specialist. Reid is on Peachstate insurance which very few doctors or specialist take. We went to the only ones in GA that take it, which were all over 2 hours away. Each one told us he needs surgery by 6 months of age to correct the issue but that they did not feel comfortable doing it. His left testicle is in his stomach in between 3 muscles. It is too far up to bring down and will need to be auto transplanted. This has to be done by the time he is 6 months old or it will rip through his stomach muscles causing severe damage."

So...again, my original painting "Dragon Dreams"- 14" x 11" x 1" acrylic painting on stretched canvas- is up on eBay for auction, starting at a $60.00 starting bid, and 50% of the final sale price will be donated to the Hite family for their son Reid's surgery.
The reason I chose this piece of art to auction off is that it is one of my more "child friendly" dragon paintings, and I am a firm believer that dragons are protectors of the unknown secrets and magic that is still here in this world, even if we as humans cannot acknowledge the presence of such, and that helping others is an important part of being an artist and a decent human being. Unfortunately, at this point, the only way I can help these folks out is to put up this auction, and hope like hell it gets at least one bid ;).

Well, I am still feeling a little bit under the weather :( I am not sick, per se, but I feel like my body is working overtime to fight off some nasty virus or bacteria in my system. I very rarely get full blown SICK; I am very thankful for my good health!

She is the best one yet, in my opinion! And, yes, I did create her with a nice, tasty cup of cocoa right beside me! LOL! The original piece is not currently up for sale, but I certainly will be offering prints of her at a later date! For now, though, she can be found on t shirts in my Zazzle Shop- these shirts are fully customizable as far as color, size, and style goes.

Hi hi!
I have been a little bit under the weather lately, and thusly I do not have much new art to share :(. Today was the first day in almost a week that I have had an time or energy to work on anything besides my latest commission and chores and stuff...
I've been toiling away on my website, trying to get everything *just perfect* and the way I see it in my head...So far, the homepage has been rearranged, and I have added a new page specifically for commission information. Those are the only publicly visible changes so far, though I have been working on my individual gallery pages, too...I got one gallery done, three more to go, before I republish them all...So, for the time being, they are still as they were before...

I dont know what is wrong with me today, it is still very early in the evening and I am REALLY tired...Looks like it will be bedtime soon!
I have a brand new tiny dragon painting to show off tonight...It is an ACEO (art card, measures 3.5" x 2.5"), and an ORIGINAL at that!
"Bearded" is a wee little green dragon guy, with an apparent amount of wisdom; at least it looks as such by the way he is sitting, with his dragon beard!

Now I have to inventory my littlezombietoes etsy shop, and add some more zombie stuff! I am afraid the Cartoon Aquarium series has overtaken my monsters LOL! But, that will have to wait until tomorrow, as I am dead tired :P

Well...this is just a quick post, as I am getting ready for Monday Night Raw and in the middle of a painting!
Also, I dont have all that much to say :( Lame, I know...
I have listed a brand new ACEO auction- this is an ORIGINAL art card painting, measuring 3.5" x 2.5"...I still am impressed with myself for being able to paint this small, though it kills my eyeballs...:)

Sorry to leave y'all hangin' for almost 5 days! I suck! AHH! I did take an actual day off this week- the first day off I've had in FOREVER where I wasn't up to some sort of project- it was desperately needed and appreciated!
I am always a little wary of time off, because I worry that I wont get back on track again...But...So far, so good!
I have listed some new ACEOs on eBay this week...The first is a print of one of my older dragon paintings..."Shadow" is a small art card print (3.5" x 2.5") on smooth bristol, slightly hand embellished with inks and Prismacolor pencils, then cold laminated (with archival plastic) to make it last a long long time!

I don't have much else to show off at the moment, as I have been doing a lot of sketching for commissions and posterity...I like tot ake at least one day a week and just draw and doodle all day, that way I have a whole stockpile and dont have to wrack my poor brain for ideas when all I want to do is MAKE. It pays to plan ahead (sometimes).

Hi Hi!
I've got another new dragon painting for you all tonight! I am just in love with painting them and can't seem to stop!
This newest one is called "A Little Trouble"- he's just got this look in his eye, like he is about to or already has made some trouble somewhere...:)

Greetings!
Well, I finally got around to another zombie painting (YAY!)...This one is just a little ACEO (3.5" x 2.5", or playing card size)...It is a mixed media painting, as I have used a partial image transfer technique, plus some paper, colored pencil, ink, and acrylic paint...all on a tiny piece of canvas!
This image was originally drawn in pen and ink for my "Little Book of Zombie Limericks" volume 1 (I am also including a copy of this self written, hand bound book with the auction)...I call it "Zombie Mob 1"...there are certainly more on the horizon! I went for an afternoon walk around the pond today, and this time I rought my camera along...something I rarely do, as I need my camera for "work" and I just know Murphy's Law lurks around every shasow of my life...I am in constant fear of dropping it...But I took the chance and brought it along, and am very happy I did...because mr. Blue Heron was waiting for me to take pictures of him! I also got a few decent shots of the autumn foliage, for those of you who do not have the pleasure of living in a "season" area ;)...So, here are some photos of my "back yard":

Where does the time go? :) I've been busy with all my crazy projects, some commissions, and the raking of many colored leaves fallen off the trees...

Happy Friday!
Oh, I have been so stupid busy, I can barely tell my butt from my elbow lately! I feel like I might be going slightly mad, as in Hatter mad...So, for those of you who may notice me being a little "off" lately, I do apologize!
I have a new, small dragon painting up in my darklingemily etsy shop- "Vigil" is a serene and somewhat dark dragon, perched high above her kingdom, keeping an eye on everything...

Sometimes I get ahead of myself...
Like today, I decided to start like 80 projects and am all over the place! Why do I do this to myself?!? I think sometimes my mind just likes to play tricks on me.
Now that I am sitting here writing my blog, it has become painfully obvious that I have not finished much today. But at least I wont have to fumble around the next few mornings, trying to figure out what I want to work on...I now have my choice of many projects LOL!
Well, let me try to sort all this out for y'all...I will start with my NEW art mystery box auction- MERMAIDS! Wee! This is another box full of goodies, all mermaid related, tons of stuff in there, such as:
a hand made journal, bookmark, fabric ACEOs (2!), some prints, a pendant...and lots lots more, some of it a surprise! And I thought I would give all of you a sneak peek at my "side project/graphic novel"...Below are two photos of my desk area, and the little birdie you see, well, his name is Ralphie. He is very near and dear to my heart, and he will be one of the main characters in this project. At first, he was just a little doodle in my sketchbook, kinda sad and lonely amongst all the dragons, zombies, and scribblings of my mind...
Well, eventually he made it onto a canvas, and now, as you can see, he is being made into a stuffed animal...The blue stuffie you see is "Ralphie Prototype #1", as I want both Ralphie and I to be completely satisfied with everything relating to this project. After making some adjustments and re-drawing parts of his sewing pattern, "Ralphie Prototype #2" is now in the works. By the end of this, I am going to be up to my eyeballs in Ralphie's LOL! Good thing he is weird and cute!
So, I think that is about all for the moment. I am working on some new dragon + cartoon aquarium paintings, too, and of course the inevitable zombie piece!
