Hi!

Sorry it's been a little longer between posts than I would like, but I have been super busy getting stuff in order for Christmas and all that...

So, this post isn't going to be all that long, but I do have a few things to share tonight...

First, I have a new ACEO print auction up; this is an art card version of my original big eye "Bee Dragon" fantasy painting...He is a dragon with a "honeybee outfit" on! I just love the background on this one- honeycombs!!
To see more detail pictures, read the blurb, and perhaps even make a bid on this little guy, please follow the link below the picture:

"Bee Dragon" big eye fantasy ACEO print

Let me see here...I made cookies yesterday, and I ate a few too many today, so my brain is all sugared out...very hard to concentrate and think of things more than 2 minutes into the future...Dern cookies. I just cannot resist them!
Oh! I have finished up a new "sexy jester" pin up piece...This one is rather simple, with no apparent dessert near her...BUT, her entire outfit has been made of caramel! So, I have titled her "Caramelized". Even though she is simple in her theme and colors, I still really like her...it doesn't hurt that she is super cute, either!
Here's a small picture of her:

As with the rest of my pin ups, I am not selling the original (in fact if you are in desperate need of your very own original pin up, you are more than welcome to contact me with your ideas)...And I do not have prints of her up on my website yet, but...sometime soon after next week I should be updating my web art gallery with a bunch of new prints and posters...In the meantime, you can send me a message to print one of these pretty ladies up for you...8" x 10" limited edition prints are $16, and 11" x 14" posters are $19.95. If you do happen to email me about this, please be sure to specify which kind of print you would like- L/E or poster ;)

Now, I am back to my big (and seemingly never-ending) stack of "Little Books of Zombie Limericks" to fold, sew, and get packed up to ship all over the place...And I have some work to get done on a small dragon/lotus/lily pad painting...

xo!

Good evening all...

I have been super busy working on some commission pieces, but I still managed to get a few new things listed today (yay!)
I have a few new dragon bookmarks up in my etsy shop- these are all prints of my original dragon paintings, cropped to fit "bookmark" format, of course!
They are $4.50 apiece, with my usual free shipping- to see all the ones I have available at the moment, please follow the link below the picture:

New Dragon Bookmarks and other book related goodies

I also have another ACEO print of my very popular "Earth Dragon" piece up for auction on eBay tonight...I have made peace with the fact that they are jerks (for the time being) and have stated as such in the payment section of all my listings there...If you are not familiar with what I am talking about, you can view any of my listings to read all about it :)
Anyhoo...To see the auction listing for this new ACEO (3.5" x 2.5") print of "Earth Dragon", please follow the link below the picture:

"Earth Dragon" ACEO print ($5.00 starting bid, free shipping)

And...as promised, I have finally gotten a set of zombie bookplates up in my zombietoes etsy shop...These bookplates are personalized with your name (or the name of someone you know with a great love for zombies), self adhesive, and come in sets of ten...All the other details can be found in the listing, the link is below the picture:

Zombie Mob personalized bookplate set $5.00 per set, free shipping

There are some new posters available in my zazzle shop...Some dragons, and some jesters! Also, a few new mugs, one with my little "Ralphie" bird on it!! I just love him so so much...To see all my new merchandise on Zazzle, just click here!

Can you tell I am utterly exhausted? No attitude tonight, no funny jokes...Please do accept my apologies. I still have miles to go before I sleep. Mind you, I am NOT complaining, I love my work, and I am a little sad that I even get tired at all :) I just feel bad that I am not all that entertaining tonight.

One more thing I would like to share before I sign off for the evening...This is a piece I drew for my lawyer...He's a pretty cool guy who saved my ass earlier this year, and I thought I should show my appreciation to him by gifting him with a "sexy" Lady Justice :)

Eventually, she will be available as prints on my website...Sometime after Christmas...Not sure exactly when, as right after Christmas is my father's birthday, then New Years, then a few friends birthdays, my own, and a few more...So, I might be pretty drunk/hung over for a few weeks heh heh! Suffice to say, it is really the only time of the year that I actually drink...:)

Hi Hi!

It's snowing again :) Right, duh, Emily, it's WINTER! Hee hee hee!

Well, I've got some new dragons to share! First, though, I want to talk a little bit about something that has been slightly bothersome for me, in regards to eBay...
Whether I am late on the draw or not, it has come to my attention (via a very friendly and honest customer with wonderful communication skills) that eBay has changed the way the invoicing system is set up...
Here is the blurb I have added to the payment section for all my listings, as of last night:

"It used to be that I was able to have control over my own invoicing schedule, but eBay has changed that option, so I am no longer able to offer the ideal of waiting for other auctions to end before invoicing. Sadly, eBay will send out an invoice for any given item, all on their own- I do not have any control over this; they also send out a warning within 3 days of auction end if payment has not been made on an item. Again, I have no control over this function! :( . So, I guess it goes without saying (but I will say it anyway) that I am now forced to invoice after each auction ends. To avoid getting a rather rude warning email from eBay itself (please know that I would never dream of treating my customers with any sort of rudeness, though eBay seems to think that is just fine), payments must be made within 3 days of auction end. :( Again, I am truly sorry about this feature. "

Even though I feel a bit like an arse for not catching on to this whole fiasco sooner (I do have to find time in my day to actually make art, I cannot spend all my time online reading every wee little change that eBay makes, as they make a LOT of them, all the time), I am trying my very best to rectify any wounded customers...so, if you are a customer that has bid on any of my auctions, won, and then received a rude warning email from ebay, please accept my apologies on behalf of eBay! If you'd like to discuss this matter with me further, you may email me. As of yet, I have not decided whether or not to continue listing on eBay. It is still up in the air. :(

And now, onto happier things...:) This little ACEO print was listed for auction on eBay Friday evening (before I knew about their recent silliness)..."Protect and Prosper" is an art card print (3.5" x 2.5") of my original dragon painting...This particular painting lives in my personal, not-for-sale collection, but you can get this print of him for a starting bid of 45 (free shipping!). To read his blurb, see detail pictures, and perhaps make a bid, please follow the link below his picture:

"Protect and Prosper" dragon and treasure ACEO print auction

Now...For a brand new ORIGINAL dragon painting! For those of you who are members of my Facebook Fanpage, you may have seen a work in progress picture of this little guy..."Vineyard" is an original dragon painting- a small dragon in a grape vineyard! I do suggest you visit the listing to read the blurb, if you'd like a good laugh ;)
He is listed for sale in my darklingemily etsy shop, with free shipping! Again, to view the listing for the blurb, detail pics, and perhaps to adopt him, please follow the link below the picture:

"Vineyard" original dragon fantasy art

So...that's about all for the moment. I am working on a new batch of dragon bookmarks, but have run out of tassels for them, so I will have to make some of my own...Also, working on a new jester piece! And another dragon painting! Also, brainstorming some more Cartoon Aquarium babies...

Oh, I got a lot accomplished today...
Of course, most of it was "behind the scenes" stuff...and starting some paintings...brainstorming...and I cleaned my studio and put all my laundry away after two days of it sitting in the basket and me having to pick through it to find what I want to wear LOL!

Anyhow, tonight I have a small sampling of art to share with you all...I think I will start with the eBay stuff!
First, I have a new ACEO auction listed tonight- this is an original zombie painting, in acrylics on a small sheet of canvas (2.5" x 3.5")- it is titled "Arise" and is up for a $5.00 starting bid, with free shipping of course! To see his listing with detail pics and short blurb, and perhaps even make a bid, please follow the link below his picture:

"Arise" original zombie silhouette ACEO painting

He is a pseudo-companion piece to my earlier "Pigtail Zombe" ACEO painting; she did not sell at acution, so I have listed her in my zombietoes etsy shop if you are interested in that piece:)

Also newly listed on eBay tonight is one of the paintings from my dragon element series- this one is "Fire Dragon", and it is the ORIGINAL painting! It is up at a fixed price of $55, for 30 days or until it is sold, BUT!! I have activated the "Make Best Offer" option, so feel free to hit me up with your...best offer LOL!
Specifics of this piece are: it is painted in acrylics on an 8" x 10" canvas panel- All other info can be found on the listing, which is at the link below the picture:

"Fire Dragon" Original big eye fantasy painting

Now...For those of you anxiously awaiting the next piecec in my "Cartoon Aquarium" series, it is here!! Meet "Jon"- he's a badass sea turtle with a flaming mohawk! I was a little apprehensive about him at first, but the more of the painting I filled in, the more he grew on me...:)
You can read his little blurb, see detail pictures, and perhaps even adopt him as your own by visiting the link below his picture:

"Jon" the punk rock sea turtle Cartoon Aquarium painting

And if you are bored and messing around online, and have a great affinity for all things zombie, may I suggest you take a look at this short article I wrote (mainly to promote my zombie limerick books, but also to give you a better grasp on my weird obsession with zombies):

An Artist's Look at Zombies, in a Humorous Light

Well, I suppose it is time for me to be off to work on my latest painting- a small one of a dragon in a mess of grape vines.

Hi Hi!

Well, I have kind of a lot to update in this post, so please have patience with me :)

I suppose I will start with my new eBay listings! I have 3 new listings tonight; the first is a relist of my "Water Dragon" ACEO print- this is a trading card sized art print from my original big eye dragon element painting; he is up for auction tonight, starting at just $5.00, with free shipping, as are ALL of my ACEO auctions! To see detail pictures of him, read his little blurb, and perhaps even bid on him, please click the link below the picture:

"Water Dragon" big eye dragon art ACEO print auction

The next "relist" is my ORIGINAL dragon and galaxy painting "Dragon Dreams"- this was originally up for auction, and half of the final sale price was designated to be donated to a little boy in need of surgery...Well, he did not get any bids (though I did end up making sales in another venue, and donated some money to this little boy regardless)...SO, I have relisted him as a Buy It Now (fixed price) listing on eBay. This listing will be up for 30 days, or until he finds a new home, whichever happens first. :)
The details of this listing are as follows: He is listed at a fixed price of $85, but I have also put in a "Make Best Offer" option ;) He is an ORIGINAL painting, and somewhat bigger than most of my paintings at 14" x 11" x 1" (gallery wrapped and ready to hang!). All the details can be found at his listing, just follow the link under his picture:

"Dragon Dreams" original fantasy painting

And...one more NEW ACEO listing tonight- This one is one of my personal favorites, and is NOT a dragon heh heh! "One Man's Storm" is an ACEO print of my original wizard painting. This listing starts at (you guessed it!) $5.00 with free shipping! You can see details for this auction and make a bid at the link below the picture:

"One Man's Storm" wizard ACEO fantasy print auction

Whew! Now...I would like to talk a little bit about zombies (eek!) I have been very busy printing up lots and lots of "Little Books of Zombie Limericks"- I have two volumes- for my zombietoes etsy shop...They have been flying off the shelves lately...My best guess is that they make excellent small gifts for hard to shop for people (dudes mostly). They are standard not card size, so they fit nicely into any envelope, and can be used for a greeting card, as I have left one of the inside covers blank for personalizing with a note and such. Again, there are two volumes available:

"Little Book of Zombie Limericks" volume one at zombietoes

"Little Book of Zombie LImericks" volume two at zombietoes

I have also listed some new zombie bookmarks, and am working on some zombie related bookplates for later this week- you can see everything I have to offer as far as dark and disturbing goes here!

Now I would like to introduce my newest bookplate design for my darklingemily etsy shop- these are taken from one of my more bizzare, somewhat surreal, pen and ink illustrations which I nicknamed "Sewn Together"...These bookplates are personalizable, self adhesive, and come in sets of ten. There is only one image for this particular set, but again, very cool (at least I think they are). You can see bigger pics of them by visiting the link below the picture:

"Sewn Together" surreal women personalizable bookplate sets

Seeing as we are on the subject of my darklingemily etsy shop now, I would like to take this opportunity to remaind you all that there are a handful of my original fantasy paintings ON SALE there right now!! Many of these are JUST $20 (from $32) with free shipping!! You can see ALL my original fantasy paintings there at this link:

Emily's Original paintings on etsy

I am sorry I am not very exciting tonight; I got up really early and am a little out of sorts. Maybe tomorrow I will just make a post with a lot of rambling nonsense that may or may not make you laugh :) Probably you will just think I am a dork (which I will not deny! Dork Pride!) But for now...I am off to relax for a bit.

Good evening...

Well, I have been working my butt off today, but haven't made any actual art...Paperwork, orders, chores...rather boring stuff, really, but it must get done! And now I am really tired...Maybe I will actually get to bed at a decent hour tonight!

So, I have a few new things to share! yay! The first is a new dragon painting; well, he is new to you all, but he's been patiently waiting to be posted for almost a week now..."Territorial" is an original acrylic painting, featuring a yellow-green dragon in flight over some bare winter trees...He has flown into raven territory, and is seriously about to regret it...Two little ravens scream and fly at him- how dare he get so close to their home?!?
Anyhow, this little fantasy painting measures 7" x 5" on a canvas panel...He is listed in my darklingemily etsy shop; to see detail pictures and perhaps even adopt this little treasure, please follow the link below the picture:

"Territorial" dragon and ravens original art

Next, I have an ACEO print auction up on eBay of my original painting "Mervamp"- a dark and mysterious creature, part mermaid, part vampire, lurking in the depths of a pond just below a cemetery...under a full moon! This ACEO (measures 3.5" x 2.5") print auction starts at a $5.00 bid, with my usual free shipping...To see the auction and make a bid, just follow the link below her picture:

"Mervamp" dark fantasy ACEO print auction

To see all my current listings on eBay, please clickhere!

This morning I put some finishing touches on my latest jester pin up illustration "Apple Turnover"; here she is in all of her upside down glory:

Again, I will not be offering the original for sale just yet, but if you would like to purchase a print or poster of her, please do email me with your preference- 8" x 10" limited edition, hand embellished print ($15) or 11" x 14" poster ($19.95), and I will make one up for you! Of course, if you order a print/poster, the watermark will NOT be on there :)

And, one last bit of news before I turn in for the night...I am excited to be featured in a "Gifts for Him" blog post by "Tales of a Retro Modern Housewife"...Well, it is not ME being featured, rather my "Procession to Breakfast' zombie print(s)...There are a loT of really beautiful gift ideas there, and I don't know about you, but the guys in my life are really hard to shop for...Not that they are picky or difficult, just that I never really know what to get a guy...so, this was very helpful for me! lol!
Here is the link to her blog post: Gifts for HIM gift guide blog.

Now, I am going the heck to BED!

Hi!

So, I am a bum, and spent all day in my pajamas...:D Of course, I had nowhere to be, no errands to run or people coming over, so I just rolled right out of bed and got right to work!
I have some good news for all of you- I have put a selection of my original paintings (and a few illustrations) on SALE in my darklingemily etsy shop.
Most of the sale pieces are on the small side- 5" x 7"- were $32, now are $20- but some are larger...ALL of them are ORIGINALS, though, and free shipping as usual! You can see them all by visiting my darklingemily etsy shop here...Every piece of art I have marked down is right on the first page, so you don't have to go digging around my store (unless, of course, you WANT to!)
Here's one of the smaller paintings that has been marked down, and a link underneath which will bring you right to her listing:

"Red Wine" Original big eye Fairy Painting

Now...A very special piece of art...Well, it is special to me, at least...This is one of my new favorite dragon paintings..."Attitude on the Edge" was born from a long week of frustration turned "I don't give a d*nm". It features two very colorful dragons; at first glance they just look a bit curious, maybe even playful, with their multicolored scales...Upon closer inspection of their expressions, you can see they are not at all happy. Tons of tiny stars in the background, and even a few comets!
The original painting "Attitude on the Edge" is listed on eBay for a fixed price of $55, with free shipping...It will be listed for 30 days, or until it is sold, whichever happens first! To view the listing and detail pictures of this wonderful big eye dragon painting, please follow the link below the picture:

"Attitude on the Edge" Original Dragon fantasy painting

I also have a few new ACEO auctions up this week! The two newest are both prints from my 'Cartoon Aquarium' series..."Zee" the green seahorse, and "Kellie, Ellie, and Nellie" jellyfish!
They both start at just $5, as do all of my ACEO auctions, whether they are prints or originals (these two are prints). Here they are:

"Zee" Cartoon Aquarium Seahorse ACEO print auction

"Kellie, Ellie, and Nellie" Cartoon Aquarium jellyfish ACEO print auction

Now...I have a new jester piece that is calling me back to my desk, and a few dragon sketches that would love to get put on some canvas, so I must depart for the evening :)

Sunday, Sunday...:)
Let me see here...what do I have to write about...Oh, yes! I have put up an ORIGINAL dragon painting on eBay (I listed him yesterday)..."Nite Lite" has been living in my darklingemily etsy shop, but I have moved him over to an eBay auction...Which is bonus for y'all, because he is a little less than half the price he was before! Of course, this is an auction format listing, and he starts at just $15.00, free shipping, so it could potentially go higher...But still, you could get a really good deal on this ORIGinal painting!
(blah blah blah!!) Anyway, "Nite Lite" is a great big green dragon, curled around an entire kingdom castle, because he is a tired dragon and wants to fall asleep (he even has heavy eyelids!) but he is a wee bit afraid of the dark! This piece is somewhat small, at 7" x 5" (acrylic on a canvas panel)...To see the auction listing, and perhaps even make a bid, please follow the link below the picture:

"Nite Lite" original dragon painting auction

I also have a handful of ACEO (art cards) listed for auction- all my ACEO auctions start at just $5.00 with free shipping- to see all the current listings on eBay, please click here!

Since my last post, I have managed to get my newest "sexy jester" pin up completed. "Pumpkin Pie" is a mixed media illustration, featuring one of my jesters sitting atop a great big piece of delicious pumpkin pie, and behind her is a really big pumpkin! I am not offering the original for sale (yet, perhaps eventually I will), and sadly she is not posted in my website art gallery yet, but if you would like a print or poster of her, please feel free to email me with your preference of poster (11" x 14" for $19.95) or limited edition print (8" x 10" hand embellished, numbered, + signed) and I would be more than happy to get one to you!
Anyway, here is a picture of her, all finished up:

* If you do order a print from me, the watermark will not be on there! It is for "publishing" purposed only ;)

If you would like to see all the other sexy jesters, they are living here in my "Sexy Art" sub gallery ;)

And...Some rather poopy news...I know a while back I mentioned something about having a tutorial I wrote (how to make your own journals) getting published in Faerie Magazine. Well, it was supposed to be published in the Summer 2009 issue (which was late getting to the presses, and did not in fact come out until September)...I am sad to announce that I am NOT in there.

I had a whole shpeel written out that was a bit of a "wag of the finger", but thought that maybe I should just be polite and professional and not even bother with crabbing about it. I will say this one thing, as a smart cookie, a reader, consumer, and lover of fantasy and all other art and literature...Faerie Magazine could be a better publication than it is, and quite frankly I am glad that they left me out of their magazine, seeing as I dont find them to be very on point.

Rest assured, the first shpeel was much less nice about all this, but even still, very tame compared to what I would really like to say...However, in the words of Forrest Gump, "That's all I have to say about that." ;)

Happy Friday the 13th!

I went for a really good walk today; it is still pretty warm here for November, so I am soaking in as much of it as I can...I am sure it will be snowing before I know it...::Sigh::

Well, tonight I only have a few things to share...The first being a brand new eBay auction! Yay! This new auction is for an ACEO print (ACEOs are collectible art cards that measure 2.5" x 3.5") of my original dragon painting "Night Fryer"...
I know it is not the nicest dragon, nor cute, but a dragon nonetheless...maybe he is cranky because he has heartburn? Who knows...:) Anyhow, this print of "Night Fryer" is up on eBay with a $5.00 starting bid, and free shipping! To see him and perhaps make a bid, please follow the link below the picture:

"Night Fryer" fire breathing dragon ACEO print auction

And if any of you are interested in owning the ORIGINAL painting, which measures 20" x 16" x 1" (acrylic on stretched canvas, sides painted black, ready to hang), he is currently residing in my darklingemily etsy shop here!

Also tonight I have some work in progress pictures of my latest "sexy jester"...This one is sitting on a nice, tasty piece of pumpkin pie...You can view my progress in my facebook album here- and you do not need to have a facebook account to see her!
She is on page two, by the way...but there are a bunch of others to look at, too!

One more thing before I go work on my jester some more...I have a *BRAND NEW* t shirt design up at my Zazzle shop...This new shirt design features "Red Larry", one of my newer dragons...He was originally designed for a friend's tattoo, but is now available on clothing, wee! Here is the link to it:

"Red Larry" flying flame dragon t shirt or hoodie

Remember, you can customize the size, color, style, sleeves, etc on this design ;) Something for everyone! And now, I am going back to my desk in an attempt to finish this new sexy jester up and also stay up til Smackdown aires (at 11:30pm...I do not have a dish, so I have to wait for it to re-aire on Fox).

Hidely-ho!

So, I have listed my original painting "Dragon Dreams" up for auction on eBay, and this is a very special auction, because 1/2 of the final sale price will be donated to a little boy
who is in need of a surgery...His name is Reid Hite, and here is an excerpt from the family blog post:

"Reid is now 4 and a half months old. Since birth he has only had one testicle and the doctor waited till 4 months to see if his other one would drop on its own. When it did not drop we started with the trips to specialist. Reid is on Peachstate insurance which very few doctors or specialist take. We went to the only ones in GA that take it, which were all over 2 hours away. Each one told us he needs surgery by 6 months of age to correct the issue but that they did not feel comfortable doing it. His left testicle is in his stomach in between 3 muscles. It is too far up to bring down and will need to be auto transplanted. This has to be done by the time he is 6 months old or it will rip through his stomach muscles causing severe damage."

You can read the whole blog post at this link:http://reidhite.chipin.com/reid-hites-surgery and there is an option to donate there, if you feel so inclined to be an angel...

So...again, my original painting "Dragon Dreams"- 14" x 11" x 1" acrylic painting on stretched canvas- is up on eBay for auction, starting at a $60.00 starting bid, and 50% of the final sale price will be donated to the Hite family for their son Reid's surgery.
The reason I chose this piece of art to auction off is that it is one of my more "child friendly" dragon paintings, and I am a firm believer that dragons are protectors of the unknown secrets and magic that is still here in this world, even if we as humans cannot acknowledge the presence of such, and that helping others is an important part of being an artist and a decent human being. Unfortunately, at this point, the only way I can help these folks out is to put up this auction, and hope like hell it gets at least one bid ;).
To see the listing and make a bid, please follow the link below the picture:

I will have some new art to share sometime this weekend...I know, promises, promises...:D I have started a *new* jester piece, with cupcakes!! Wow, going from helping a little boy out to sexy jesters and naughty desserts...I must be completely out of my mind. But I am okay with that. Life would be awfully dull if I were normal...

Good Evening!

Weeeee...I spent a long time on my website today, which is a little pathetic because it was SOOO beautiful outside...BUT, It had to get done! Work is work, and I am a Capricorn, so it's hard to ignore the work LOL!

Anyhow, my website still needs a little tweaking here and there, but all the individual gallery pages are republished and pretty pretty!! All the art in them is available as prints and/or posters, but...it is always free to look LOL!
Here, why don't you go visit: darklingtreasures.com

Also, tonight I have a brand new dragon ACEO up for auction on eBay..."Gold Bed" is a wee little dragon baby, protecting his big ol' stash of treasure and gold...though he looks a little worried, with those big eyes of his, that he can't keep tabs on it all!
He is an ORIGINAL painting, in ACEO format (3.5" x 2.5") on a small sheet of canvas, up for auction starting at just $5.00, with my usual free shipping! To see him up close, and maybe even make a bid, please visit the link below the picture:

Well...this is just a quick post, as I am getting ready for Monday Night Raw and in the middle of a painting!

Also, I dont have all that much to say :( Lame, I know...

I have listed a brand new ACEO auction- this is an ORIGINAL art card painting, measuring 3.5" x 2.5"...I still am impressed with myself for being able to paint this small, though it kills my eyeballs...:)
Anyhow, this new original is titled "Stretch"- he is an active little dragon, ready to take a long flight...and needs to limber up his wings before he leaves! He is up for auction on eBay, with a $5.00 starting bid, and my usual free shipping!
To see him and make your bid, please click on the link below his picture:

"Stretch" original dragon ACEO

I also have been listing some ACEO prints for auction lately, from my larger dragon paintings...the most recent of these being a print of "A Safe Perch"- a beautiful dragon with big green/turquoise eyes, letting little blue birds perch on him for a safe night's sleep...This auction is also a $5.00 starting bid, with free shipping...To see the listing and make a bid, visit the link below the picture:

Now, off to relax a bit, watch some wrestling, and get some work done on this commission! Oh, and I should be sending out my latest newsletter this week, hopefully tomorrow, so if you have not signed up yet and would like to, visit my website: www.darklingtreasures.com

and look for the "Mailing List" button (it's fancy and rather big; there is one right on the homepage). I will never share your email with anyone, it is always art related and nothing else, and I only send out an email about twice a month. ;)

xo!

Hi Hi!

I've got another new dragon painting for you all tonight! I am just in love with painting them and can't seem to stop!

This newest one is called "A Little Trouble"- he's just got this look in his eye, like he is about to or already has made some trouble somewhere...:)
He is a little original painting, measuring 8" x 6" on a canvas panel- painted in acrylics- listed in my darklingemily etsy shop.
To see details and perhaps even give him a new home to cause a bit of dragon trouble in, please visit the link below the picture:

There are also work in progress pictures in my Facebook album here if you would like to see my process...

I have also put up a new eBay auction today- this is an ACEO print of my original dragon painting "The Conductor"...For those of you who are unfamiliar with ACEOs (Art Cards, Editions, and Originals), they are 2.5" x 3.5" works of art!
This print of "The Conductor" is on smooth bristol, in archival inks with slight embellishments added after printing...It is cold laminated in archival plastic, signed, titled, and dated on the back...Up on eBay for a 7 day auction, starting at just $5.00 (and free shipping!)...
To see detail pictures and make a bid, please click the link below the picture:

If any of you are interested in the original painting, it is available for sale at this link:

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=24841038

(all specs and pictures are there too, and I can set up a payment plan if you want)

And...I've updated my Zazzle shop with some zombie posters!! There are 3 available at the moment, in my "scary but not gross or violent" silhouette style, and you can decide on the size, type of paper (or canvas!) and even a frame if you like...to see them all, just go ahead and click here!

Been working on a few commissions lately, which is always nice- I like to work with other people's imaginations :) Here is my most recently completed commission piece, it is titled "Cowboy Dreams":

Speaking of commissions, I've got another one going right now, and I think the last layer of paint I put on it is dry, so I can get back to work now! Heh heh heh...

Happy Friday!

Oh, I have been so stupid busy, I can barely tell my butt from my elbow lately! I feel like I might be going slightly mad, as in Hatter mad...So, for those of you who may notice me being a little "off" lately, I do apologize!

I have a new, small dragon painting up in my darklingemily etsy shop- "Vigil" is a serene and somewhat dark dragon, perched high above her kingdom, keeping an eye on everything...
She is an original 5" x 7" acrylic painting on a canvas panel; to see more pictures and perhaps even adopt her, please follow the link below her photo;

I have also JUST finished a large dragon painting, this one will not be listed just yet, as I have to wait for better photo lighting (autumn sun went away for the moment). But I will show you all the snapshot I took earlier...
This is "Night Fryer"- not one of my more friendly dragons, but sometimes dragons are NOT friendly...

If you want this dragon but do not want to wait until I list it, please feel free to send me a message ;)

Now, time for some dinner and a break! I got a buttload of sketching to do...

And don't forget about my Mermaid Art Mystery Box auction, which ends tomorrow- to make a bid click here!

There was a giant snapping turtle in the parkinglot this morning. I was worried that someone would run him over, cuz he blends right into the wet pavement.
But I was waaay too scared to get close to him. I know they walk slow, but when they snap, it's FAST and it HURTS! I just let him be, and envisioned a protective bubble around him.
He slowly moved onto the grass over the course of 4 hours. Cool looking guy, with a tail! Shoulda taken pictures, but he was freaked out enough already.
I also saw a whole bunch of ducklings yesterday. Freakin' adorable!

Anyhoo...onto business here. :) Tonight I have listed a recently finished painting (I am a little bit behind in my listings, or ahead in my stockpiling, depending on how you look at it).
"Attack of the Freckle Monster" is an original 16" x 20" acrylic painting, featuring a beautiful red headed fairy and a freckled dragon! To see detail pictures and read the story, please click on the link below the pic:

Also, a new eBay auction tonight: "Sweet Stare" is an original ACEO (art card). It is a mixed media mermaid, and I really like her. She is actually from my personal collection as opposed to my stockpile, but she told me she was sick of me and wanted a new home.
She said there were too many other mermaids around. So, "Sweet Stare" is up for a 7 day auction, starting tonight at just $3.00 (free shipping). To make your bid, please click on the link below the picture:

Now I am off to do whatever it is that keeps me occupied...I most likely will sit with my sketchbook and stare blankly for awhile, until I get hungry...

Gah...

I know it's been awhile since my last post. I really need to get on the ball with that. I have no problem creating, but when it comes to listing and posting I get a little flighty.
Strange.
Right now I am watching X-Men the last stand, and trying really hard to concentrate on this post. I am craving something, too, and I dont know what, so that is really bothering me.
I think I might want a smoothie but I have no juice to put in it and I am NOT using water...Bah!
Anyhow, enough rambling. I actually DO have a reason to post tonight...wanna see it?
"The Conductor" is my newest dragon, and he is very LARGE at 18" x 24"! I am rather impressed witht he way he turned out, he's kinda manly, and dark, but in a good way, not a creepy or depressing way. Just like a shadow throwing lightning bolts, like the conductor of a wonderful symphony of storm (and yes, the pun IS intended, trying to be all clever with my titles).
He is up in my darklingemily etsy shop, and the description is kinda interesting (so go read it)...To view the detail pics and description, and perhaps even adopt him into your family, please click on the link below the picture:

Someone is exercizing or something in the other apartment and they are making a crapload of noise. I just turn up the TV. Doesnt help during the commercials, though, as I usually mute them. I HATE how they get 10x louder than whatever show you happen to be watching.
Like we are stupid or something. "Oh, I really should get a new Blackberry that flips closed, I really need that so I dont annoy my wife, even though the phone I have currently is perfectly fine and cost quite a bit to begin with..." %$&@#(@* Yes, I cannot understand your marketing ploys unless you jack up the volume and basically ram it down my throat.
All Hail The Mute Button!

Sorry to rant. I am WICKED PMS like any of you care or want to know. This is one of those times where I should stop myself from posting all this crap, go through, edit, make it boring and professional, and try not to offend anyone. Well, I have offended myself. So there.
(For those of you who do not know me all that well, I am being funny, not crabby. Well, I guess my humor comes out in full when I am in a "mood")

;)

Greetings and salutations...

So, tonight I have but one piece of art to share...This is a brand new painting I have just completed...
I call it "Scarlett Midnight"; a darkly flirty gothic mistress and her blood red dragon roam around under a summer moon...This is an original 8" x 10" painting, up for a 7 day auction, starting at just $9.99...To view the eBay listing, detail pictures, and the little story behind this piece, please click on the picture below:

My printer went on the fritz this morning, and after 20 minutes of messing with it, I finally just gave up and switched it off. I seriously hope it is over whatever glitch tomorrow morning. Or that I at least have the capacity to deal with it in the proper fashion...Not sure what that is, but I know the improper fashion would be banging my head against the wall and then throwing my poor printer across the room.
Worst case scenario, I have to uninstall and reboot the dern program. First I must dig around for the disk. I am such a baby, I very rarely encounter pooter troubles (knock on wood) and can usually fix them, but the printer is a whole different animal. One which I have been overworking and underappreciating...Although I did tell it I loved it the other day and blew it a kiss. What a good boss I am. LOL

Ugh, sorry, I forget people might actually read this, and here I am wasting their time kavetching about my electronic troubles. There are much more serious problems at hand, like global warming and the fact that my house is not 100% zombie-proofed...

I have not quite decided yet, but I may be at the 3 County Fair this Monday (9/1) most of the day at my friend Mark's booth. My schedule is not completely solidified, but hopefully I will be able to squeek out for a few hours and maybe make some sales and be immersed in the fair...I could really use some fried dough and a ferris wheel ride. I've freakin' earned it man.

Jesters will be up for sale soon, I swear it! I think I will just make a special section for them in my etsy store...More info to come!

In the meantime, I am going to watch a bad scary movie and zone out...

nite,

~Em
