Hi everyone!

I have a brand new BEAUTIFUL original painting today - a wonderful collaboration between myself & my husband Matt - "Madonna and Child at Night" and it is BIG and GORGEOUS- and it's on eBay for just ONE PENNY now! In addition, I have prints available right away! Not only that, you can even choose your own custom framing & matting, or even BIG print sizes up to 31"x78" in size (BIG prints start at just $13.80). This is a GORGEOUS painting and very appropriate to the season too!

All righty, the new original painting! "Madonna and Child at Night" is the title - and that's the subject exactly! Madonna and Child at Night" is the title - this truly is another masterpiece! One of my favourite collaborations between me & my husband Matt so far! This is one done in high Gothic style - a solid poplar wood panel first cut & carved by my lovely husband Matt - and then finished by me in an antiqued gold leaf finish. "Madonna and Child at Night"- the classic image of mother and baby, a sweet and touching scene in front a night sky (maybe even Christmas night?). The colours in this piece are gorgeous, and both mother and child have gold leaf halos - similar to those in medieval and renaissance art. I love how you can see the sky up through the gothic "window" arches at the top! A good size - 26" high and about 10" wide. All ready to hang - this can truly make your house look like a Gothic Cathedral or a fine art museum! And of course it is ready-to-hang - hanger already on back. Would make a fantastic holiday gift! This ORIGINAL acrylic painting is up on eBay starting at just ONE PENNY for a 10-day auction ending the evening of Friday, December 4th at 8:27 PM Central Time, and you can see her below:

"Madonna and Child at Night" 26"x10" ORIGINAL PAINTING!

And as always, to see all of my other currently available original paintings, click below - I have some BEAUTIFUL originals up right now at great prices:

Now, as I promised - trying something new - I'm making the "Madonna and Child at Night" prints available NOW. If the original isn't in your budget, grab one of these! These are BIG prints - starting at just $13.80 - and guess what? You can add on custom mats, frames, glass, etc. however you want it. And you can choose the paper type - glossy, matte, canvas, poster, whatever. Small sizes are available as well as HUGE sizes - up to 31"x78" size (that is SIX AND A HALF FEET TALL) Just use the options in the upper right hand corner of this page to choose the size you'd like - leave it plain as a poster print or add framing options. No need to wait any more!!

I have been sketching some ideas for wire wrapped jewellery.
I ordered some copper wire, some pliers and a wire jewellery book.
I have been looking on Etsy and have found lots of great shops with jewellery findings, tutorials(some of the tutorials much too complicated for me!!) and also lots of lovely jewellery.
I have also been looking at steam punk inspired jewellery findings and polymer clay beads,i am not letting myself buy any of these though as i can't afford it and i need to start with a few things then progress from there.
I am thinking of combining polymer clay with the wire and beads,i do have some Fimo clay and a lovely polymer clay book(unfortunately in the book most of the beads require more supplies than i have or can afford)
But i can use metallic inks and powders i do have and combine them with stamped images on Clay,i think that i could get some lovely effects with the wire, clay and beads.
I am looking forward to trying out my ideas :)

Hi everyone!

I have a brand new BEAUTIFUL original painting today - an absolutely gorgeous and rather strange big original called "Dinosaur Friends I" (based on a true story) and she's on eBay for just ONE PENNY now! In addition, I have prints available right away! Not only that, you can even choose your own custom framing & matting, or even BIG print sizes up to 52"x68" in size (BIG prints start at just $13.80). In addition I have new #01 Canvas prints! All of my "Dragonling Garden" series #01 Canvases are up for penny auctions, as well as "Mechanical Angel III" and "Little Autumn Leaves."

First, the new original painting! "Dinosaur Friends" is the title - possibly my favourite painting I've done yet! Anybody know me when I was five? Remember my "dinosaur friends?" They were allegedly "imaginary" friends of mine I had when I was a kid. An amateur paleontologist even then, I remember them more clearly and distinctly than I do most of my other friends from that age. So I thought I'd create a series of paintings inspired by them. This litle girl has dinosaur friends as well (but seems to have a much nicer house than I did!). This time she has a stegosaurus, a triceratops and a little baby dino, and they're getting cozy on the stunning Rococo couch. I love the shading in this one. Savvy fans may recognize that she apparently has a copy of my "Marie Masquerade" painting on her wall, hehe. It's rather big - 20"x16" in size, READY TO HANG - 2" deep cradled masonite, hanger already on back. This ORIGINAL acrylic painting is up on eBay starting at just ONE PENNY for a 10-day auction ending the evening of Wednesday, December 2nd at 9:00 PM Central Time, and you can see her below:

Hi Hi!

Well, I have kind of a lot to update in this post, so please have patience with me :)

I suppose I will start with my new eBay listings! I have 3 new listings tonight; the first is a relist of my "Water Dragon" ACEO print- this is a trading card sized art print from my original big eye dragon element painting; he is up for auction tonight, starting at just $5.00, with free shipping, as are ALL of my ACEO auctions! To see detail pictures of him, read his little blurb, and perhaps even bid on him, please click the link below the picture:

"Water Dragon" big eye dragon art ACEO print auction

The next "relist" is my ORIGINAL dragon and galaxy painting "Dragon Dreams"- this was originally up for auction, and half of the final sale price was designated to be donated to a little boy in need of surgery...Well, he did not get any bids (though I did end up making sales in another venue, and donated some money to this little boy regardless)...SO, I have relisted him as a Buy It Now (fixed price) listing on eBay. This listing will be up for 30 days, or until he finds a new home, whichever happens first. :)
The details of this listing are as follows: He is listed at a fixed price of $85, but I have also put in a "Make Best Offer" option ;) He is an ORIGINAL painting, and somewhat bigger than most of my paintings at 14" x 11" x 1" (gallery wrapped and ready to hang!). All the details can be found at his listing, just follow the link under his picture:

"Dragon Dreams" original fantasy painting

And...one more NEW ACEO listing tonight- This one is one of my personal favorites, and is NOT a dragon heh heh! "One Man's Storm" is an ACEO print of my original wizard painting. This listing starts at (you guessed it!) $5.00 with free shipping! You can see details for this auction and make a bid at the link below the picture:

"One Man's Storm" wizard ACEO fantasy print auction

Whew! Now...I would like to talk a little bit about zombies (eek!) I have been very busy printing up lots and lots of "Little Books of Zombie Limericks"- I have two volumes- for my zombietoes etsy shop...They have been flying off the shelves lately...My best guess is that they make excellent small gifts for hard to shop for people (dudes mostly). They are standard not card size, so they fit nicely into any envelope, and can be used for a greeting card, as I have left one of the inside covers blank for personalizing with a note and such. Again, there are two volumes available:

"Little Book of Zombie Limericks" volume one at zombietoes

"Little Book of Zombie LImericks" volume two at zombietoes

I have also listed some new zombie bookmarks, and am working on some zombie related bookplates for later this week- you can see everything I have to offer as far as dark and disturbing goes here!

Now I would like to introduce my newest bookplate design for my darklingemily etsy shop- these are taken from one of my more bizzare, somewhat surreal, pen and ink illustrations which I nicknamed "Sewn Together"...These bookplates are personalizable, self adhesive, and come in sets of ten. There is only one image for this particular set, but again, very cool (at least I think they are). You can see bigger pics of them by visiting the link below the picture:

"Sewn Together" surreal women personalizable bookplate sets

Seeing as we are on the subject of my darklingemily etsy shop now, I would like to take this opportunity to remaind you all that there are a handful of my original fantasy paintings ON SALE there right now!! Many of these are JUST $20 (from $32) with free shipping!! You can see ALL my original fantasy paintings there at this link:

Emily's Original paintings on etsy

I am sorry I am not very exciting tonight; I got up really early and am a little out of sorts. Maybe tomorrow I will just make a post with a lot of rambling nonsense that may or may not make you laugh :) Probably you will just think I am a dork (which I will not deny! Dork Pride!) But for now...I am off to relax for a bit.

xo!

Hi everyone!

I have a brand new BEAUTIFUL original painting today - the latest of my "Alice in Wonderland" series - "Alice in a Bosch Landscape" and it is BIG and GORGEOUS- and she's on eBay for just ONE PENNY now! In addition, I have prints available right away! Not only that, you can even choose your own custom framing & matting, or even BIG print sizes up to 52"x68" in size (BIG prints start at just $13.80). Very cool!

Also if the links do not appear to be clickable, simply copy & paste the full link text into the URL field of your browser!

All righty, the new original painting! "Alice in a Bosch Landscape" is the title - possibly my favourite Alice in Wonderland painting I've done yet! And it's BIG! This is the first in my sub-series called "Alice in Other Lands" which are paintings featuring Alice in a variety of unusual circumstances. Here we have my Alice in a Hieronymus Bosch (15th Century surrealist) landscape. You can see Bosch's tree-man, giraffe, and several other nods to his landscapes. This is a painting celebrating my loves of Alice in Wonderland and renaissance art - no reason why the two shouldn't go together! I've always thought that Alice's adventures should continue into many other bizarre tales, and you can expect to see more from me in the future. It's BIG - 18"x24" in size, READY TO HANG - 2" deep cradled masonite, hanger already on back. This ORIGINAL acrylic painting is up on eBay starting at just ONE PENNY for a 10-day auction ending the evening of Monday, November 30th at 8:12PM Central Time , and you can see her below:

Good evening...

Well, I have been working my butt off today, but haven't made any actual art...Paperwork, orders, chores...rather boring stuff, really, but it must get done! And now I am really tired...Maybe I will actually get to bed at a decent hour tonight!

So, I have a few new things to share! yay! The first is a new dragon painting; well, he is new to you all, but he's been patiently waiting to be posted for almost a week now..."Territorial" is an original acrylic painting, featuring a yellow-green dragon in flight over some bare winter trees...He has flown into raven territory, and is seriously about to regret it...Two little ravens scream and fly at him- how dare he get so close to their home?!?
Anyhow, this little fantasy painting measures 7" x 5" on a canvas panel...He is listed in my darklingemily etsy shop; to see detail pictures and perhaps even adopt this little treasure, please follow the link below the picture:

"Territorial" dragon and ravens original art

Next, I have an ACEO print auction up on eBay of my original painting "Mervamp"- a dark and mysterious creature, part mermaid, part vampire, lurking in the depths of a pond just below a cemetery...under a full moon! This ACEO (measures 3.5" x 2.5") print auction starts at a $5.00 bid, with my usual free shipping...To see the auction and make a bid, just follow the link below her picture:

"Mervamp" dark fantasy ACEO print auction

To see all my current listings on eBay, please clickhere!

This morning I put some finishing touches on my latest jester pin up illustration "Apple Turnover"; here she is in all of her upside down glory:

Again, I will not be offering the original for sale just yet, but if you would like to purchase a print or poster of her, please do email me with your preference- 8" x 10" limited edition, hand embellished print ($15) or 11" x 14" poster ($19.95), and I will make one up for you! Of course, if you order a print/poster, the watermark will NOT be on there :)

And, one last bit of news before I turn in for the night...I am excited to be featured in a "Gifts for Him" blog post by "Tales of a Retro Modern Housewife"...Well, it is not ME being featured, rather my "Procession to Breakfast' zombie print(s)...There are a loT of really beautiful gift ideas there, and I don't know about you, but the guys in my life are really hard to shop for...Not that they are picky or difficult, just that I never really know what to get a guy...so, this was very helpful for me! lol!
Here is the link to her blog post: Gifts for HIM gift guide blog.

Now, I am going the heck to BED!

xo!

Hi everyone!

I have TWO NEW ORIGINAL paintings for you and both start at just ONE PENNY on eBay! They are two of the originals from my "Faces of Faery" series - both are lovely! As well as the new ACEO cards of my recent paintings! There are six ACEOs - one for a painting you've never seen before! Others include "Mechanical Angel III", "Dragonling Garden II," "Dragonling Garden III," and new Faces of Faery). Each starts at a penny as well.

The new original paintings - the 50th and the 52nd paintings in my "Faces of Faery" series - a series of paintings I've been working on featuring beautiful faces from all corners of the world of Faery. Each is READY TO HANG - you don't need a frame - 6"x6" in size and on 2" gallery style cradled masonite, original acrylic paintings (not prints of any kind). The great thing about my "Faces of Faery" series of paintings is that they are all the same size and are intended to hang beautifully in a group as well as on their own - for example they make fabulous groupings of several paintings together (I hung up nine of them on my wall in a square shape and it looked fantastic!). To see the new originals (and all other currently available original paintings) simply click below - they're near the bottom of the page here:

Jasmine's ORIGINAL PAINTINGS are here

Or individually - here is "Faces of Faery 50" - she is the fiftieth. Faces of Faery all feature beautiful faery-inspired creatures, and she is no exception. She is so lovely - her sultry pale blue eyes and pretty golden hair.... And yes, to give everybody a chance, she is starting at just ONE PENNY! She's up for an auction ending Monday, November 23rd at 5:55 PM Central Time, and you can see her here:

"Faces of Faery #50" ORIGINAL PAINTING

And here is "Faces of Faery 52" - she is the fifty-second in the series. She is so lovely - little bat tattoos, bat-like wings, and big beautiful eyes.... And yes again, to give everybody a chance, she is starting at just ONE PENNY! She's up for an auction ending Monday, November 23rd at 5:56 PM Central Time, and you can see her here:

"Faces of Faery #52" ORIGINAL PAINTING

Now for the new ACEOs - for more info about ACEO cards, how I make them & what they are (basically tiny hand embellished one of a kind canvas prints, trading card sized and highly collectable), consult the individual auction descriptions - they are each one of a kind, hand-painted with accents by me, the artist, and are awesome! All are each starting at a penny, with no reserve for ten-day auctions ending on the evening of Saturday, November 28th 6:00PM-6:15PM Central Time:

Hi!

So, I am a bum, and spent all day in my pajamas...:D Of course, I had nowhere to be, no errands to run or people coming over, so I just rolled right out of bed and got right to work!
I have some good news for all of you- I have put a selection of my original paintings (and a few illustrations) on SALE in my darklingemily etsy shop.
Most of the sale pieces are on the small side- 5" x 7"- were $32, now are $20- but some are larger...ALL of them are ORIGINALS, though, and free shipping as usual! You can see them all by visiting my darklingemily etsy shop here...Every piece of art I have marked down is right on the first page, so you don't have to go digging around my store (unless, of course, you WANT to!)
Here's one of the smaller paintings that has been marked down, and a link underneath which will bring you right to her listing:

Now...A very special piece of art...Well, it is special to me, at least...This is one of my new favorite dragon paintings..."Attitude on the Edge" was born from a long week of frustration turned "I don't give a d*nm". It features two very colorful dragons; at first glance they just look a bit curious, maybe even playful, with their multicolored scales...Upon closer inspection of their expressions, you can see they are not at all happy. Tons of tiny stars in the background, and even a few comets!
The original painting "Attitude on the Edge" is listed on eBay for a fixed price of $55, with free shipping...It will be listed for 30 days, or until it is sold, whichever happens first! To view the listing and detail pictures of this wonderful big eye dragon painting, please follow the link below the picture:

I also have a few new ACEO auctions up this week! The two newest are both prints from my 'Cartoon Aquarium' series..."Zee" the green seahorse, and "Kellie, Ellie, and Nellie" jellyfish!
They both start at just $5, as do all of my ACEO auctions, whether they are prints or originals (these two are prints). Here they are:

Now...I have a new jester piece that is calling me back to my desk, and a few dragon sketches that would love to get put on some canvas, so I must depart for the evening :)

xo!

Em
